Jeff utilises a multifaceted approach to counselling. He uses family therapy systems approach, combined with neuroscience and psycho-education to support individuals, coupes and families.
He also incorporates extensive knowledge of trauma, family dynamics and psychological theories and techniques to integrate the person and foster relationship repairs.
Each individual and each family is different, so there is not one approach. Jeff embraces the individualism of the person in front of him and supports them to gain a greater self understanding and then a greater relational understanding of their particular circumstance. This often involves supporting and encouraging the client to explore their own pain and deeper understanding of the meaning behind the life situation.
Jeff often uses a psycho-educational approach to begin and then uses a humanistic engagement to uncover any underlying issues that hinder you progress. Once this is established then he supports you to explore alternate ways of processing your fear, anger, shame or other core emotions along with changing your thinking. this provides choices of behaviour in life and relationships.
Jeff gets results, people heal, let go of their grief and pain and develop a deeper appreciation for their particular life circumstances and move toward repairing relationships within themselves and with others.
